The energy performance process is where the current energy rating obtained by the building is verified and, if successful, leads to the issuance of an energy performance certificate. The energy performance label must be incorporated into all offers, promotions and advertising aimed at the sale, rental or advertising of the building.

Royal Decree 235/2013 of 5 April, which approves the basic procedure for the energy performance certification of buildings, completes the transposition of Directive 2002/91/EC, in relation to the energy performance certification process and, in turn, repeals and completes Royal Decree 47/2007 of 19 January, which approved a basic procedure for the energy performance certification process for new buildings. Unlike the previous one, the new Royal Decree requires that all existing buildings, when sold or rented, have an energy performance certificate.

The company has already carried out more than 3,000 energy performance certificates for banking institutions, other credit entities and insurance companies such as Banco Santander, Lico Leasing or Santa Lucía during 2013.
